The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has once again been surrounded by questions after the sudden resignation of the captain of the national white ball team, Gary Kirsten.
Yesterday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that he had resigned as the head coach of Pakistan’s ODI and T20 teams in April 2024, just 6 months after his appointment.
His decision comes amid heightened tensions between Pakistan’s new coaching staff and the PCB after a controversial reshuffle, with the PCB changing its policies to remove selection duties from Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie. Who as a coach was also a part of the selection committee.

However, now after the change in the selection committee, the coaches were removed from the team selection, on which the staff was feeling uneasy.
Although the former head coach Gary Kirsten did not give any public response on this issue, but in 2011, the Indian team won the World Cup under his coaching.

In a recent press conference in Lahore, PCB appointed Muhammad Rizwan as the new limited overs captain while Salman Ali Agha was appointed as his deputy.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was accompanied by only selection committee member Aqib Javed and both captains while Gary Kirsten was absent, fueling speculation.
