ISLAMABAD, Sept 14 (DNA): Ministry of Housing and Construction’s subordinate body Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) has made conditional the property buildup award in Sector G-14 to allotting of plots to affectees of the Sector in Sector G-15.

Work on Sector G-14 was started in year 2004; however despite the passing of ten years neither plots were distributed in it nor the property compensation was paid.

According to Housing Foundation sources, the amount worth Rs 1 billion which was received from the G-14 allotees, were deposited in Land Acquisition Collectorate Department, Islamabad but with the passage of time the affectees of G-14 resorted to court for increase in the compensation of their lands in the Sector. However the court gave order that G-14 affectees must be compensated in line with present rates.

Foundation authorities met with the Secretary Housing Younis Dhaga for settling the issue. It is learnt that Foundation authorities will soon hold meeting with Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA).

In the meeting, the Foundation authorities will appeal CDA chairman to allot alternate plots to G-14 affectees in Sector G-15 on behalf of CDA so that the affectees give G-14 land possession to Housing Foundation.

Sources said that development in Sector G-14 would be started after getting complete possession of the Sector.

FGEHF has sent letters to all the allotees of Sector G-14 in which proposals were sought from them regarding getting extra charges under the head of buildup property.

Sources told decision on getting extra charges from G-14 allottees would be taken in Housing Foundation Board meeting to be held in next few days
