‘Food department makes plan to cope with drought’

 KARACHI, (NNI):  Provincial Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that Food Department has chalked out plan to cope with the expected drought in Thar and wheat bags have been deployed to five godowns of district Thar to their full capacity.

This he said in a statement issued here on Tuesday. He said that local administration had been informed that godwons of the district Thar were full to their capacity besides that there were more than four lac wheat bags at Mirpurkhas and Sanghar Food Department Godowns.

Jam Mehtab added ‘As Sindh Government orders Food Department will provide four lac wheat bags in godowns of Thar within 48 hours.

He said that Food Department was fully aware of its responsibilities and we had taken all possible measures to handle expected drought in Thar we are working on our plan and were are pretty sure that the people of Thar will not face any hardship. Jam Mehtab said that Sindh Government would not leave the people in their difficult times. All people of the province are with the people of Thar.
