MUZAFFAABAD (NNI): Spokesperson of National Disaster Management Authority Ahmed Kamal said that 27,700 people and one hundred twenty villages in Azad Kashmir have been affected due to rain and flood.
Talking to a private TV, he said 1,785 houses have been completely smashed while 3,712 houses partially damaged in the area.
He said in Punjab one hundred thirty-one people have been killed while sixty-three have died in Kashmir and eleven in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said eight hundred thirty-eight villages of Punjab have also been affected so far.
He said local civic organizations alongwith Pakistan Army have continued rescue operations in the affected areas and more than 9000 people have been shifted to safer places.
Ahmed Kamal said if level of water crossed the present danger mark, spillway gates of Trimmo Barrage will have to be thrown open.
