Flood relief camp set up by NH&MP on IG directives

ISLAMABAD(PR): 2014Acting on the directives of the Inspector General Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema ,the officers of National Highways & Motorway Police carried out relief activities with enthusiasm. A flood relief Medical Camp is established under the supervision of SSP Mirza Faran Baig at Jhelum Toll Plaza. Free medical treatment and medicines are being provided to the affectees of Shanti Nagar, Bela and surrounding villages.

Meal was arranged for the victims at Jhelum Toll Plaza and food boxes were distributed in the vicinity. The officers rendered help in the process of evacuation of the people and livestock from troubled area. As many as 600 bags of food containing rice, floor, pulses, milk, biscuits, ghee and sugar were distributed among the affectees.

Tents were fixed to provide shelter for the families affected by recent flood. Relief activities are also initiated at Wazirabad and surrounding areas under the supervision of SSP Munir Masood Marath. NH&MP has setup relief camps and provided meal and food items to the flood effected people there. These steps taken by the motorway police were highly appreciated by the residents.
