CHITRAL: Flood affectees of Mozgoal village who are living in barren land of Qaqlasht are still waiting government help for rehabilitation. Talking to local media persons Ghulam Sarwar a retired junior commission officer of Chitral Scouts and others said that flood damaged Mozgoal village completely in the last week of July this year. As a result they were shifted to Qaqlasht ground where but there is acute shortage of drinking water, health facilities as well as school going children were also deprived from their education. Some small girls were seen who were carrying drinking water from a far flung area in pitches on their head. Rubina of class 6th said thatshe was going to school but after damaging of their house (village) and their school now she is living in this temporary tent with her parents and cannot go to school. Perhaps she will not become a doctor in future as she dreamed she told with sorrowful words.Flood affectees of Moxzgoal complained that despite promises by Prime Minister and Chief Minister they still seek financial support for their rehabilitation. They appealed the prime minister and Chief Minister KP for financial support to re-construct their damaged houses before snowfall. They said that snowfall will start in the middle of November and it is very difficult to live in these tents without heating, electricity and other facilities.Flood affected people threatened that if they were not supported financially for reconstruction of their houses they will be compelled to come on roads as protest.
