First phase of local bodies election in Punjab and Sindh were fairer than local government election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), this was stated by Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) head Mudassir Rizvi while speaking in Roze News program Analysis with Asif. He said that the election in KPK was on a much larger scale due to which widespread mismanagement was observed.
He however said that some procedural irregularities were observed in Punjab and Sindh too according to early reports. Rizvi said that it was FAFEN who proposed the idea of conducting election in different phases which resulted in better management. He also appreciated the role of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and said that ECP has invested in better training of officials.
