Zimbabwe won the match by 80 runs under the DLS law as the rain did not stop.
Before the rain, Pakistan had scored 60 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 21 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan 19 and Aamir Jamal at the crease without scoring any runs.
When Pakistan started batting in pursuit of the target, opener Abdullah Shafiq lost his wicket for a total of 11 while Saim Ayub was dismissed for a score of 17. Abdullah Shafiq scored one run and Saim Ayub scored 11 runs.
Kamran Ghulam 17, Salman Agha 4, Irfan Khan 7 and Haseebullah Khan were dismissed for a zero.

In the first ODI of the series played in Bulawayo, the Zimbabwean openers tried to play an aggressive game, but at a total score of 40, Jewellward Gambi was run out by Abdullah Shafiq for an individual score of 15, while Devon Myers was a guest for 8 runs.

For Pakistan, Salman Agha and Faisal Akram took 3 wickets, while Haris Rauf, Aamir Jamal and Muhammad Hasnain took one wicket each.
Earlier, national team captain Mohammad Rizwan had won the toss and decided to field first, saying that they would try to bowl out the host team for a minimum score and start the tour with a win.
On this occasion, Zimbabwean team captain Craig Irvine said that they are determined to win against Pakistan at home ground.
