According to a spokesman for PIA, Boeing 777 and Jumbo 747 aircraft are being used in Hajj operation of the national airlines. Over 53,000 Hajj pilgrims will be transported to the holy land through 116 flights, the spokesman said. The Hajj operation is being carried out from Quaid-i-Azam International Airport instead of the Old Terminal due to security concerns after recent terrorist attack at Karachi airport, sources said.
