Khursheed asks PM not to waste this opportunity

Says Qureshi’s accepting supremacy of Parliament created gulf among PAT, PTI

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Wednesday said that an FIR has been registered against attack on Parliament on Ist of September, 2014.

Clarifying some of the points raised by the JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman regarding permission to PTI members who have resigned for speaking in the Parliament and about attack on Parliament, the Speaker said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi was allowed to speak in the Parliament on the request of some members of the opposition and treasury benches in order to create a better atmosphere.

Opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah said today parliament has won. He said they asked the government to allow the PTI members to come to the parliament.

He said no one can challenge the decision of the speaker about resignation of PTI members. He said today Shah Mahmood Qureshi admitted the supremacy of the parliament. He said a gulf has emerged between the two parties outside the parliament.

He also thanked the Prime Minister for accepting the suggestion of PPP to convene the joint sitting of the Parliament.

Opposition leader said that the Parliament has unanimously decided that Prime Minister will not resign and this is the strong point for the negotiating team.

He warned that conspiracy is still there and we should not take decisions in haste that may lead to rain. Politics is the name of tolerance and patience and attacks are thwarted when despite having power, one does not retaliate, he emphasized.

He said that is the reason that Nawaz Sharif has emerged as more powerful. He said that today is the day of victory for the Prime Minister and Parliament and it should not be allowed to go in waste.NNI
