ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday announced the schedule for the final round of the Local Bodies Election in Punjab.
According to the schedule, the final round of the local bodies’ election will start from 9th December in which mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen and vice-chairmen will be elected.
The nomination papers will be received on 9th and 10th December whereas the scrutiny process will be held on 11th and 12th December.
The appeals against rejection of the nomination papers can be filed till 14th December and the candidates can withdraw their nominations till 16th December.
The polling will take place on 22nd December and the election results will be announced on 23rd December, the election commission said.
Election Commission of Pakistan will notify the winning candidates on 28th December and the elected candidates will take oath on 31st December. INP
