Karachi: In the FIA operation, foreign currency worth crores of rupees, including thousands of dollars, was recovered.
According to the spokesperson, the FIA State Bank Circle Karachi carried out a major operation and arrested the accused involved in illegal currency exchange and recovered foreign currency worth crores of rupees.
The arrested accused was identified as Muhammad Haroon, who was arrested near the KMC Housing Society. The accused is involved in foreign currency exchange, and 35 thousand US dollars were recovered during the raid.
10 thousand dirhams, 1500 British pounds, 1030 Saudi riyals, and one hundred and twenty thousand rupees were recovered from the possession of the accused. The arrested accused is involved in currency exchange without a license and he could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency.
The action against the accused was taken on a tip-off. The authorities have registered a case and started an investigation.
