Federal govt announces Rs 26 billion for KP

INP 22-76ISLAMABAD,22 DEC (DNA) – Federal government on Monday announced Rs. 26 billion for Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) government to combat terrorism.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that the reservations expressed by Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan regarding expenditure on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) will be removed.

He said that the federal government will give Rs. 26 billion to KP government for combating terrorism. He told that federal government has spent 30 billion rupees on IDPs so far.

It may be noted here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan sought assistance from the Federal government to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) as it was spending its budget on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and bearing immense tribal areas’ pressure. DNA
