KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman on Monday evening arrived in Karachi with an agenda to reconcile Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
In order to resolve the political crisis which arose after the resignations of MQM members, the JUI-F chief reached Karachi today to hold talks with MQM leaders.
When asked, the JUI-F spokesperson told that at least one round of talks is expected to be held at MQM headquarters Nine Zero.
Earlier to this, reports suggested that Maulana Fazlur Rahman was not given security clearance for visiting Nine Zero, following which the JUI-F suggested State Guest House to be the venue for talks with MQM, but the latter emphasized on Nine Zero.
During the talks, Maulana Fazlur Rahman will try to convince MQM to withdraw its resignations and will also brief the party members about government stance on the issue. NNI
