KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Farooq Sattar has on Friday declared 3 out of the 4 killed in an encounter with Rangers at Northern Bypass as its own workers. He termed the killings as extrajudicial murders of the workers.
Holding a press conference in Karachi, MQM leader said that 3 MQM workers were murdered at Northern Bypass. He said that all 3 workers were arrested by Rangers 4 months ago and the party has all the details of these workers. He said that no remand of these workers was obtained after the arrest.
Sattar said that 150 of MQM workers are missing. He told that the matter is in the court and the list of the missing people has been sent to the Prime Minister and Interior Ministry. He claimed that 4 MQM workers were killed during the last 24 hours and now the government institutions have issued a ‘made up’ statement.
