RAWALPINDI: The Excise and Taxation Department for the first time introduced sticker system in Rawalpindi for vehicles instead of token Tax. For this purpose stickers have been supplied to Rawalpindi Taxation office and from now onward the stickers would be given to the payers of token tax,so that the sticker affixed vehicles could ply on roads without any checking by police.
According to details the department would soon start action against the vehicles not having stickers.
According to information, stickers would be of three types i.e. life time token tax, yearly and half yearly which would be in different colours.
As figures say, seven Lac and 38 thousands vehicles are registered in Rawalpindi, and free of cost stickers would be given to the payers of token tax, which they will affix on their vehicle’s wind screens.
