SLAMABAD: Political activities are at their peak in the federal capital Islamabad in view of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) proposed long march. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has discussed the matter with his companions and allies Thursday.

After an important meeting with the Prime Minister, members of the federal cabinet met the Leader of the Opposition Syed Khurshid Shah in the Prime Minister’s chamber of the Parliament House. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Information Minister Pervez Rasheed and veteran Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Raja Zafar ul Haq were present on this occasion.

According to the sources, reconciliation attempts between the government and PTI were discussed during this meeting. The members also discussed the prevailing political situation of Pakistan.
