PM accepts Zahid Hamid resignation

Chairman of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Enver Baig Tuesday resigned from his post holding bureaucracy responsible for the development. Sources privy to the development confided to The Patriot, Enwar Baig while submitting his resignation to the Prime Minister told him he can no longer perform duties due to some bureaucrats’ criminal attitude. He complained Prime Minister the non-implementation of orders by some bureaucrats have put his as well the government’s credibility on stake.
Enwar Baig further told PM being chairman of BISP he is finding most difficult to implement the PM’s directives in true letter and spirit which had left no option for him but to quit. Prime Minister assured Enwar Baig for removing his grievances and offered him to head another institution that would be further discussed after PM’s return from , sources disclosed.
In another development, PM Nawaz Sharif has accepted the resignation of Zahid Hamid as federal minister for science and technology.
The resignation was formally approved by the prime minister three days after Hamid stepped down as minister following orders from a special court that Hamid should also be nominated in the treason trial.
It is worth mentioning here that Zahid Hamid resigned from the post after the verdict of a three-member special court bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab accepted Pervaiz Musharraf’s lawyer plea to include his and other names in Musharraf case.
