ISLAMABAD: Electoral Reforms Committee has on Tuesday directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold the future by-elections in the provinces under electronic voting system. It has also been decided that the elections with less than 10% female turnover will be declared void.
Electoral reforms Committee meeting was chaired by Zahid Hamid in which technical experts briefed the committee about electronic voting system.
Talking to media after the meeting, Zahid Hamid told that the ECP has been directed to hold the future by-polls in the provinces under electronic voting system.
He said that the decision to hold the general elections under electronic voting system will be taken after this experiment. Committee declared at east 10% female representation in all the constituencies. NNI
