ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police along with contingents of Pak Rangers conducted search operation in various areas of Koshar,Secretariat and Bhar kahu and nabbed eights suspects, a police spokesman said.
Following the directions of Inspector General of Police, Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan, SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has prepared a comprehensive plan of searching and combing in the city. According to this plan, search operation has been initiated and the police are conducting checking at slum areas, inns, hotels, restaurants and Afghan habitats. These measures are being taken to ensure high vigilance and foolproof security and to keep vigilant eye on the suspected elements.
Islamabad Police along with contingents of Pak Rangers in wee hours of Tuesdayconducted search operation in the areas of Kohsar, Secretariat and Bhara Kahu police stations where they screened houses, workshops, markets, under construction buildings and residential areas. The teams succeeded to arrest eight suspects who are being investigated further. During this search operation, 03 motorbikes, one gun, one pistol along with ammunition were recovered.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said that search operation would continue in coming days and complete combing would be made of sensitive areas. He said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SDPOs and SHOs to continue it. He has appreciated all those who joined this search operation and appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them. NNI
