ISLAMABAD : Minister for Communications Murad Saeed Wednesday said that various initiatives taken to modernize Pakistan Post have restored public confidence in the organization and such efforts will continue in future as well. The communication minister was speaking here at an agreement signing ceremony of Digital Financial Services between Pakistan Post and Habib Bank of Pakistan. The minister said the measures such as same day delivery, electronic money order, and transfer of foreign remittances have improved image of Pakistan Post. He said use of technology has been promoted in Pakistan Post. He said phase-wise development of Pakistan Post is continuing. He said the PTI government has paid special attention on the organizations facing losses.He said it was an important step of the government’s strategy to pay attention towards turnaround of the institutions which were running in losses. He said that Pakistan Post has the biggest share in saving bank accounts. He said that HBL has been the biggest banking network in the country, adding the agreement between Pakistan Postal Services and HBL would also prove beneficial for overseas Pakistanis. He thanked media for highlighting postal services, saying that due to media cooperation, Pakistan Post business has improved
