KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday rejected Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Syed Mustafa Kamal’s application for registration of his newly formed political party over not disclosing party’s assets and manifesto.
Former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal, who announced to part ways with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) last month, named his party on March 23 and vowed to release its manifesto in near future.
Kamal formally filed an application to ECP for registration of his party; however, the ECP rejected his application on the grounds he has not disclosed PSP’s assets, constitution and manifesto.
ECP has declared the application as incomplete.
