ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday once again postponed the verdict over petition challenging Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) intra-party elections.

ECP has also delayed the announcement a week ago saying that the verdict will be given on December 5 as the panel of judges is incomplete.

Likewise, the decision was deferred again for next hearing as ECP member from Sindh Abdul Ghafoor Soomro is currently abroad.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) said that the verdict is being delayed due to the absence of ECP member. The decision will now be announced on December 13.

The petition was filed by former general secretary of the PTI’s Swabi chapter, Yusuf Ali on June 22. He had requested ECP to declare the elections null and void as they violated the party’s constitution.
