ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to conduct the next general elections through electronic voting machines, said Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed on Tuesday. In a media briefing, Ahmed said that elections cannot be held under the electronic machines before September 2016. He said that at least two years would be required to install electronic voting machines across Pakistan. The ECP Secretary urged the government to complete the process of legislation before 31 December 2014. He said that pilot projects would begin in six months if legislation was done in three months.
