FAISALABAD (INP): Faisalabad waste management company Tuesday distributed flyers and paper bags by launching its awareness campaign in eight bazaars to discourage the use of plastic bags.

Communication Officer Farhan Ali Qazi, Assistant Managers and Waste Inspectors participated in the awareness activity. Farhan Qazi told that more than one thousand shops have been targeted in order to convince the shopkeepers and traders to use bio-degradable bags or paper bags.

The participants distributed paper bags to shopkeepers free of cost which contained awareness and motivational messages regarding the facts about pollution produced by the plastic bags. MD FWMC said that the awareness activity is a part of our campaign against the use of plastic bags and FWMC will continue its struggle until we wipe out plastic bags. He said that the citizens have the key role to achieve the target and to keep the environment free of plastic bags.
