ISLAMABAD: Famous journalist SK Niazi raised the first voice in the country to form a special bench of the Supreme Court to investigate the murder of senior journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya. According to details from Pakistan Group of Newspapers, the editor-in-chief and renowned analyst, Roze News Chairman SK Niazi, through an open letter on November 6, 2022, requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan to order a special inquiry into the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya.
That open letter written by SK Niazi to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, on November 6, 2022, is on the pages of “Rozenama Pakistan” was published after which the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formally requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a judicial commission to investigate the matter.
This was in support of SK Niazi’s demand, followed by the country’s various journalistic organizations also made similar demands, SK Niazi of Roze News The program “Sachi Baat” had also raised this demand and requested the Supreme Court to form a special judicial commission to investigate the murder of the slain journalist Arshad Sharif.
The hearing has started and the FIR has been registered on the orders of the Supreme Court. In this regard, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has also sought the response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior as to what action has been taken so far in this regard.
