RAWALPINDI: Delegation from United States Department of Commerce and Higher Education Commission has visited Fatima Jinnah Women University today.
Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. Delegate showed interest in establishing relationship between the universities of US and Pakistan in the areas of joint research and exchange of faculty and students.
Talking to delegation Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naheed Zia Khan said that cooperation in the field of education between universities would pave the path toward achieving the objectives for providing quality education to students. She also briefed the delegation about the University and its various departments.
Members of delegate cherished the performance of Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) and the initiatives they took for the promotion of multi field research culture. They also suggested that ORIC of universities of Pakistan must be virtually linked to boast up the process of mutual exchange and cooperation and to share innovative ideas among each other.
The delegation also visited Campus Radio Station (VOW FM 96.6) and Television Studio (Vision of Women). Members of the delegation appreciated the technical equipment installed over there. They also have shown interest in providing technical support and assistance in this regard in future.
