Captain and Qadri not to leave container until Sharifs resignations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan again called for the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to ensure a transparent probe reiterating his claims that May 11, 2013 general elections were massively rigged.

Addressing the participants of Azadi March here on Tuesday, Imran Khan said a corrupt mafia has taken over Pakistan.

He also lashed out at Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai for their speeches against PTI. “Maulana sb is a sold out politician. Only a couple of ministries are enough to have his support,” he said.

“I am deeply hurt that Javed Hashmi has accused me of taking dictation from army or judiciary. “I have been saying from day one that I will take to streets if our demand for verification of votes is not met.

“I have great respect for Hashmi, who served many years in jail for his ideology against a dictator.” He said that if he had the lust for power, he would have been in power a long ago.

He said that at least 100 MNAs would be out of assemblies if a fair probe was conducted into rigging.

Speaking to the crowd on this occasion, Dr. Qadri said that the Articles 1 – 40 of the constitution gave rights to the people of Pakistan but the people of Pakistan were never given their rights during the last 41 years. He said that his struggle was for the rights of the people and those who had not given the rights to the people of Pakistan should be tried under Article 6.

“We did not have any axes”, said Tahirul Qadri. He asked the government to show those people who got injured by axes. He rejected allegations that army was backing Awami Tehreek. “I declare under oath that I have never met army chief.”

Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that he and Dr. Tahirul Qadri would not leave the container unless they got PM Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif’s resignations. Agencies
