Negotiations with Swiss authorities for return of $ 200 billion from 26th
ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani delegation to negotiate the return of $200 billion from Swiss Bank will be in Switzerland on 26th of August, 2014.
The delegation will consist of secretary Finance, Chairman FBR and other officials. Sources said that Pakistani delegation will stay in Swiss capital for three to four days. They said that it would take three to four years to get the plundered amount back into Pakistan.
The sources added that there are fifty secret accounts of Pakistanis in ten major banks in Switzerland. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar left for Dubai on Sunday to give final shape to decisions about the release of IMF’s next tranche to Pakistan.
Sources said that after talks with IMF regional chief Jaffrey Frank followed by a joint press conference, the finance Minister will return on Monday night. Finance Ministry sources have described as baseless a private TV channel report that the Finance Minister has gone to Dubai in view of the political situation in the country. The sources said that a team of Finance Ministry led by Finance Secretary Dr Waqar Masood is already in Dubai and holding talks with the IMF.
According to a previous schedule, the IMF Regional Chief Jaffrey Frank was to come to Islamabad for a joint news conference with Ishaq Dar but in view of the two sit ins, he has cancelled his visit to Pakistan and the finance minister has gone to Dubai for signing of documents and press conference.
