KARACHI: The anti corruption court on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani among 10 other accused in Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) scandal case.
The anti corruption court’s judge Muhammad Azeem was hearing the case. During the hearing the Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) has submitted final challan of seven more TDAP cases in the court.
The challan declared the suspects including Yusuf Raza Gilani and secretary of PM Secretariat Muhammad Zubair, absconders in the case.
The court accepting the challan issued non-bailable arrest warrants of the accused that also include former DG TDAP Abdul Karim Daudpota; Farhan Junejo, Mehar Haroon Rasheed, Waqar Ahmed and other TDAP officers.
The court ordered FIA to produce all accuses including former PM before the court on May 19.
FIA said the accused caused billions of loss to the national treasury in 2008 under the head of freight subsidy tax.
