ISLAMABAD: Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday stated that Pakistani nation has suffered an unimaginable tragedy when its children and teachers were brutally slaughtered in a terrorist attack on Army Public School (APS) Peshawar on December 16, 2014.
In a message on social networking site to mark the day, Imran Khan lamented the vicious APS massacre by calling it a worst incident ever.
He said that courageous children have also inspired and unified the people with their strength and resolve not to be crippled by the terrorists.
Imran Khan applauded the valor of survivors who stood in front of militants and fought back to save their friends and teachers.
A year later we must honor the memory of APS martyrs and courage of the survivors by strengthening our pledge to defeat terrorists’ agenda, he added.
PTI chief suggested providing secure nurturing environment of learning and growth for the nation s children to stand against terrorism and extremism.
Imran Khan said that the APS mishap and the sacrifices of students should never be forgotten and vowed to honor the sufferers by combating terrorism. NNI
