TAXILA: Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage (IB&NH) Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that development and progress of the country is the top priority of incumbent PML-N led federal government who which it initiated numerous development projects.
Talking to media persons after attending the Orange Festival in Taxila on Sunday, Pervaiz Rasheed claimed that development projects launched by the sitting government area in such a large number which were not initiated in the last sixty-five years. He said some of the projects have been completed and work on other was underway.
Referring to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s recent statement regarding National Accountability Bureau, the Minister said it was aimed to point out hurdles in the way of development.
He said the Prime Minister also talked about other regularities authorities which delayed the process of decision making and resultantly development projects are delayed. He said these authorities should work with the required speed.
Meanwhile, addressing the closing session of a ceremony held to observe the International Mother Languages Day in Islamabad, he said state-society relations help in development and evolution of any society. He said state derives its legitimacy through its interaction with society.
The Information Minister lauded the effective role of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) and Pakistan Television (PTV) for promoting culture in the country.
