Country capable to become trade hub in region: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD (NNI): Ahsan Iqbal has said that geo-political and strategic location of Pakistan can open up new vistas for it to become a trade hub in the region.

The government is committed to reviving the economy through knowledge based initiatives, public sector reforms and building of modern infrastructure.

This was stated by Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal while talking to a delegation of Asian Development Bank, led by its President Takehiko Makao in Islamabad.

He said government is determined to achieve the economic growth rate of over 6 per cent by 2017-18.

He appreciated the role of ADB in enhancing regional connectivity among Pakistan, China, Afghanistan and Central Asia.

Ahsan Iqbal said that geo-political and strategic location of Pakistan can open up new vistas to become trade and commerce hub of the region.

Asian Development Bank said the bank strongly believes in Pakistan’s potential to achieve higher growth and is very impressed by Pakistan Vision 2025. NNI
