LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Sunday said there was no justification for continuing the protest after the government acceded to all the constitutional demands of the participants of the sit-ins.

Nawaz Sharif expressed these views during his meeting with Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz.

“Instead of wasting their energies in protests, the demonstrators should play their role for the progress and development of the country,” the Prime Minister stressed.

The protest sit-ins held by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Tahirul Qadri’s Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) outside the Parliament House in Islamabad still continue as their negotiations with the government remain deadlocked over the demand of PM’s resignation. Agencies
