KARACHI: A petition for contempt of court case against Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah was filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday.

Petitioner Rana Faiz-ul-Hassan, in his plea, stated that the address of the Sindh CM during the oath-taking ceremony Malir Bar Association fell under the contempt of court.

The chief minister had said that earlier the verdicts were delivered according to law but now judges allegedly decided cases according to their desires, he added.

The petitioner requested the court to initiate proceedings against the chief minister under Article 204 of Contempt of Court Ordinance 2003.
