ISLAMABAD: The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), led by Shabbir Ahmad Shah, an unlawful detainee, has expressed its grave worry regarding the ongoing slaughter and the death of young by Indian troops during fictitious encounters in the region.
As per Kashmir Media Service, the DFP claimed in a release that Indian troops were brutally murdering educated and innocent youth in fabricated and staged encounters.
It stated that India could not use force to repress the real liberation movement among the Kashmiris.
The DFP stated, “On the one hand, the Indian government is using its state institutions, including the parliament and judiciary, to suppress Kashmiris, while on the other, it has unleashed havoc in the territory by killing innocent Kashmiris day in and day out.” The DFP characterised the systematic killing of Kashmiris by Indian troops as a component of the BJP government’s policy to change the demography of the territory.
The Hurriyat party expressed regret that India was employing illegitimate legislation to stifle Kashmir’s legitimate political voices while also expressing concern over the deteriorating health of Shabbir Ahmed Shah and other Hurriyat leaders and activists who were being held against their will.
