ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Molana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri while emphasizing the need for unity in Muslim Ummah observed that collective efforts were needed to overcome the challenges being faced by the Ummah.
He expressed the views while talking to a 12-member business delegation from Bahrain at Parliament House today. The delegation was headed by Sheikh Adil Abdur Rahman Al-Muawadah. He said that the JUI(F) has a very clear stance on Yemen crisis and any threat to the security of Saudi Arabia and the holy places would be dealt with accordingly and the whole Muslim Ummah would rise to defend and protect the sanctity of the holy places.
He said that Bahrain is an important brotherly country and we are against any foreign intervention in the affairs of other Muslim States. He said that Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy cordial relation and relation between the two would grow further in future. He underscored the need for more people to people contacts, saying that Pakistanis living in Bahrain were playing an active role in the socio economic development of Bahrain in different sectors. He expressed his well wishes for the government and people of Bahrain and said that relationship between the two sides would enhance further.
Leader of the delegation endorsed the views of Deputy Chairman Senate and termed his visit an important one. He said that Pakistan is an important county of Muslim Ummah and can rightly be called the pillar of Islamic world. He expressed his desire to boost cooperation in deferent sectors for mutual benefit of the two sides. Both the leaders exchanged views on overall regional situation. Leader of the delegation observe that Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arab can play a leading role in overcoming the challenges being faced by Ummah on different fronts.
