In his recent visit of Balochistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that development and law and order in the province is top priority of the government and Pakistan army is helping other agencies in this regard. He was addressing the passing out parade of Baloch recruits at Quetta and said that army is helping in the capacity building of FC, police and other agencies to deal with the challenges. While lauding Baloch recruits he said that he was confident that they would always remain steadfast for the development, security and honour of Balochistan and Pakistan. He said despite limited resources, institution has always played its positive role in educational, societal and economic progress of the province alongside other institutions.
People of Balochistan have rejected anti-Pakistan elements and in recent times many rebellious groups have shown commitment to work side by side with government to make Balochistan prosperous. Recently after Uri attack and in response of Pakistan’s stance to highlight Indian atrocities in held Kashmir, Indian Prime Minister tried to raise human rights violations in Balochistan but local people have brushed aside this claim by holing many anti-Indian protests. Indeed enemies of Pakistan are trying to hinder development of Balochistan by exploiting miseries of local people. But being the centre of development projects under CPEC, massive development projects are underway in the largest province of the country which would redress grievances of locals. Role of army is pivotal for timely construction of many projects of CPEC in Balochistan. It is good omen that COAS like former Army Chief General Raheel Sharif attaches great value for timely completion of remaining projects under CPEC. Indeed developments in the province would surely usher new era of prosperity of Balochistan.
