Army Chief General Raheel Sharif said the armed forces are ready to pay any price to turn the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor cherished dream into reality. Gawadar Port and the CPEC will be built as the most strategic deep sea port in the region at all cost, Army Chief said while inspecting the under construction roads as part of CPEC at Panjgur.
COAS also appreciated Frontiers Works Organization (FWO) for speedy work of construction and maintaining quality, he paid tributes to FWO soldiers for sacrificing lives for this national project. These roads will link Gwadar with rest of the country to yield envisioned dividend of Port and Corridor to transform peoples’ lives and bring prosperity. 11 units of FWO have been employed in Balochistan for construction of 870 KM long stretch of roads at five different locations simultaneously, out of which 502 kilometers of roads have already been completed in less than one and half year on the special directive of the COAS.
It has been observed that mega project is not being digested by anti-state elements and enemies of the state are conspiring to halt the progress of this multi-billion project which would change the fate of people. Talking about the enemy’s conspiracies to harm the project, he said, “We acutely are aware of our rivals’ campaign against corridor Project but we would pay any price for the completion of this mega project.
He also appreciated the cooperation of people of Balochistan and their support for these projects. We all know that development of Balochistan and this mega project is directly linked with the peaceful security conditions. The way rebels in Balochistan are putting their weapons down and promising to work for the stability of the province, we must give credit to the law enforcing agencies. Law enforcement agencies have brought a noticeable change in overall security situation of Balochsitan.
