ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday and discussed the prevailing security challenges.
According to sources, Prime Minister Sharif and Army Chief exchanged views on involvement of Indian spy agency RAW in acts of terrorism.
Sources add that evidence about the involvement of foreign hand in Safoora Goth attack and other related issues came under discussion in the meeting.
According to a spokesman, Prime Minister Sharif and General Raheel also reviewed possible motives behind the Safoora carnage.
Six gunmen on motorbikes attacked a bus and killed 45 members of Ismaili community at Safoora Goth in Karachi on May 13. Although Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, investigators suspected the involvement of RAW in the horrific incident.DNA
