RAWALPINDI: US Secretary of State John Kerry met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters (GHQ) Tuesday.
During the meeting, the matters pertaining to regional security especially in the context of Pakistan’s ongoing military offensive in tribal areas were discussed.
Kerry offered his condolences for the victims of deadly Peshawar attack on December 16, 2014.
Later, during delegation level meeting, both the sides discussed wide ranging issues including regional security, stability and Afghanistan, Director General, ISPR, Maj. Gen. Asim Saleem Bajwa tweeted on social media.
Upon arrival at GHQ, the US secretary of state was presented guard of honor.
He also laid floral wreath at the martyrs’ monument.
