LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday directed to take all the necessary measures for the safety of public’s life and property.
During a meeting on law and order situation in the city, CM Punjab stated that no one would be allowed to destroy the peace of the country and ordered to ensure the implementation of law.
He further instructed the administration to take indiscriminate action against the extremists.
Provincial Interior Minister Col (r) Shuja Khanzada, Member of National Assembly (MNA) Hamza Shahbaz, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Rana Sanaullah, Chief Secretary and Inspector General Police also attended the meeting.
Earlier, CM Shahbaz Sharif had directed to arrest the killers of Naeem who was set on fire by the mob after Youhanabad blast. The unfortunate man was suspected of being a terrorists’ aide and was burnt to death by the Christian mob on Sunday. The deceased was recognized as a common man, belonging to Kasoor.
He also said that killing a person only on the basis of suspicion was an act of inhumanity. He said that nobody could be allowed to take law and order into their hands.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Punjab Shuja Khanzada has said that the protesters involved in Naeem’s killing will be identified through videos and cases will be registered against those involved in damaging public property.
