RAWALPINDI: Chief Minister KPK Pervaiz Khattak held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif at the GHQ here on Tuesday.
During the meeting which continued for about 30 minutes, Pervaiz Khattak and Gen Raheel discussed matters related to ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb against the Taliban in restive tribal North Waziristan Agency.
Both of them also discussed issues related to internally displaced persons and measures taken for their welfare.
Sources said that both leaders also talked about relief efforts being undertaken for flood affected people in KPK.
The ISPR said that Khattak also handed over a cheque of Rs100 million for the flood affectees of Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
The sources said current political situation in the country also came under discussion and both of them agreed that political issues should be resolved politically and sooner than later.
The chief minister appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Army in providing the relief to the flood-hit people.INP
