ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice on application of an overseas Pakistani alleging that NADRA is charging unnecessary exorbitant fee for issuance and cancellation of Pakistan Origin Card (POC) causing financial burden on overseas Pakistanis.
That they were paying $100 to NADRA for preparation of Pakistan Origin Card (POC). That fee was increased to $150 and now it has been increased to Rs.22,000/- and Pakistan Origin Card cancellation fee is Rs.31,500/-. That the unnecessary increase in fee has discouraged the overseas Pakistanis to get the Pakistan Origin Card, the complainant said.
