Chinese varsity delegation visits IIU

Plan to establish China-MuslimWorld Studies Centre discussed

ISLAMABAD (NNI): A delegation of Chinese LinYi University visited International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), met with university high officials and discussed matters of expanding mutual cooperation and signing MoUs in this regard. The delegation was headed by Din Hai Tao of Lin Yi University.

Both sides agreed that measures would be taken to pave the way for a MoU under which work for establishing a China-Muslim World Studies Centre would be initiated. It was also agreed after MoU exchange of delegations would be materialized from both sides and students and Faculty members of Arabic and Chinese Languages would learn from experiences of each other.

The meeting was attended by Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Acting President IIUI Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan, Director General (AF&P) Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja, Deans and Directors of the university.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said IIUI doors are wide open for mutual cooperation with all academic institutions of the world and after the detailed discussion and ground work measures for materializing and signing the MoU would soon be taken. He also thanked LinYi administration for its keen interest in partnership with IIUI.

Security forces foiled an attempt to infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan and killed 3 terrorists. According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, ISPR, the security forces conducted an operation near the Pakistan-Afghan border in Zhob and foiled the attempt of the outlawed TTP terrorists to infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan. According to ISPR, TTP terrorists were coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan near Sambaza and 3 terrorists were killed and some were injured in the action of security forces.
