Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam on Thursday announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Pakistan on April 20 for a two-day visit.
During weekly media briefing in Islamabad she stated that the Chinese President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation and will sign various important agreements and memorandums.
She stated that Pakistani delegation headed by Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif will reach country today after Saudi Arabia’s visit.
The delegation exchanged views on regional situation with Saudi authorities, she added.
While talking about Kashmir issue, she reiterated that Pakistan will not abandon the Kashmiris in any situation and will stand by them in the hour of need.
She termed the violence on peaceful Kashmiris ‘shocking’ and said that the cases filed on their leaders are false and baseless.
Furthermore, she said that the government is making arrangements to evacuate jailed Pakistanis in Yemen or to provide them safety there.
While reacting to Indian agitation she said that Indian forces aggression on Line of Contro (LOC) is an effort to divert attention from Pakistani operations against terrorists.
She also said that increase in Indian Defense budget is detrimental for the region.
Tasnim Aslam refused to respond to a statement by a UAE foreign minister and said that FO do not respond to statements which are issued on Twitter and are unofficial.
Moreover, she said that Pakistan considers Huthi rebels in Yemen as non-state elements.
