ISLAMABAD: Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong on Friday visited Multan to see the progress and prospects of on-going and future cooperation in socio-economic development in Southern Punjab.
His hectic two-day engagements there included his meeting with Commissioner Multan, and having site visit to Bagasse Power Plant. He also scheduled to visit Bodhi Cotton Gining Company and Multan Cotton Research Station on Saturday.
Ambassador Sun will also pay visit to Mazhar Hazrat Shah Rukn-i-Alam. His visit is highly significant in view of China-Pakistan economic corridor project (CPECP) and its implementation in different parts of the country.
During his meeting with Commission Multan, he spoke about the China’s commitment of further helping Pakistan in its fast development, particularly in energy and communication.
He also listed the number of projects which are being funded by the Chinese side.
He hoped CPECP will be another milestone further deepening the all-weather friendship and all-round cooperation and build up the China-Pakistan community of shared destiny.“We share the same dream of achieving economic growth, social progress, people’s well-being and national peace and prosperity,” he added.
