President Asif Ali Zardari has said that China has never played the role of an occupying power in history, China does not interfere in other countries, and China’s development should not be feared.
Expressing his views in an interview with the China Broadcasting Corporation, he said that Pak-China friendship is not just for good times but an evergreen friendship. Pakistan and China are close neighbors and will remain friends in all circumstances. Pakistan wants to fully benefit from China’s development and its geography. He loves the Chinese people and will stand by China.
The President said that the Chinese President is strong and consistent, has an understanding of global situations, Pakistan-China relations are historic, spanning generations, and he appreciates President Xi Jinping’s political philosophy and governance style. China has achieved many milestones of development under the leadership of President Xi Jinping. China’s development is welcome for the world.
He said that China has never played the role of an occupying power in history, China does not interfere in other countries, one should not be afraid of China’s development, believe in eternal friendship with China, there is a need to make connections, roads and communications with China better and more sustainable.
He said that China can help Pakistan in the agricultural sector, the per acre productivity of Pakistan’s agricultural sector is less than that of China, Pakistan is working on special industrial parks for China, and is eager to benefit from China’s technology for the country’s development in various sectors including environment and irrigation.
The President said that China’s development is in the interest of the region, China’s development in the space sector is not new, Pakistan is increasing its capacity in the space sector with China, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will play a role in the development of the region, our focus is on the stability of Pakistan, relations with China are Pakistan’s top priority.
