General Patrick Sanders, the Chief of General Staff of the British Army, arrived in Pakistan on Monday for a five-day official visit.
According to media sources, the visit is being made as part of the long-standing defence deal between Pakistan and the UK.
To discuss defence interactions, General Patrick Sanders will meet with General Asim Munir, the COAS of the Pakistani Army.
General Sir Patrick Sanders will have a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Gen. Asim Munir.
The Pakistan Army Chief visited the UK earlier this year from February 5 to February 9 where he attended the Wilton Park conference and spoke with defence officials.
Gen. Asim Munir made his first trip to the UK since taking over as COAS during this trip. He came to the UK at the British government’s invitation.
He also spoke with General Sir Patrick Sanders, the Chief of General Staff (CGS), during his visit. CGS stated during the conference that “the military partnership between both of our countries goes from strength to strength, with exciting opportunities for the future.”
