LAHORE: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif on Wednesday called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and discussed ongoing energy projects in the country including Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the politics of sit-in has delayed welfare projects including energy projects, adding that those doing politics of sit-in are trying to disrupt public plans with the politics of chaos.
He said that the defeat in Chichawatni by-polls is writing on the wall for those doing politics of protest.
He said that thousands of megawatts electricity will be added into the national grid by the end of 2017.
On the occasion, Khawaja Muhammad Asif congratulated the Chief Minister on victory in elections in NA-162 in Shahiwal.
